Happy 30th Anniversary, Migrant Clinicians Network!
Today, after many months of preparation and just in time to coincide with Farmworker Awareness Week, we launched 30 Clinicians Making a Difference, in which we profile the work of 30 clinicians who have dedicated their lives to migrant health, from diverse professions, and from around the country and even abroad.
For our 30th anniversary this year, it was natural that we wanted to celebrate by highlighting the work of some of the stellar migrant clinicians making huge change in our country and abroad. Their work is often underreported, going unrecognized, and yet, thousands of mobile patients’ lives have been affected by their service.
Here, we chronicle the work of just a few of these migrant clinicians; thousands more are making huge strides in their own communities around the country. We look forward to continuing to be a force for health justice for the mobile poor, creating practical solutions at the intersection of poverty, migration, and health. And, we look forward to many more years, supporting the migrant clinicians who make our network strong.
