Seeking to build a network of outreach and dissemination of culturally appropriate, easy-to-read fotonovelas

Mon, 12/21/2009

Auger Communications, with support through a grant from the National Center for Minority Health and Health Disparities, is seeking to build a network of organizations who serve Latino families interested in expanding outreach and dissemination of culturally appropriate, easy-to-read fotonovelas. Join the “Free Publication Network’” to receive a free supply of a bilingual Spanish/English photonovel about gestational diabetes developed for Latina women once the network is launched. For information about the publication see http://www.augercommunications.com/Gestational_Diabetes.html. To join the network, click on “Free Publication Network” (http://www.augercommunications.com/Free_Publication_Network.html). Teaching with stories is one of the oldest forms of education and is widely used around the world. The Teach-With-Stories (TWS) Method™ developed by Auger Communications combines this oral tradition with evidence-based research and modern influences, including Paulo Freire, Malcolm Knowles, and Jean Baker Miller. There is information about their other publications on the website.
