Webinar Description

Do you have ideas for how to improve clinical services at your health center that the leadership team won’t try? In this session, you will learn how to structure clinical improvements to fit the income model for your Health Center. Dr. Moore brings an important perspective to the discussion of the financial realities of health centers through his previous work as both a frontline clinician and as a member of the leadership team of a federally funded health center. Using case studies, Dr. Moore will lead a discussion of the key methods by which health centers are reimbursed for services, including some of the latest payment methodologies being implemented by health centers. This session will place an emphasis on the role that the clinical team plays in improving the financial viability of health center organizations as well as strategies clinicians can employ to generate interest in grassroots ideas for fiscal improvements that work within the organizational mission.

Learning Objectives
  1. Understand 3 dominant methods by which health centers are reimbursed for services.
  2. Learn how to structure clinical improvement efforts with each of these 3 methods in a way that is financially viable for the organization.
  3. Learn how to communicate these proposals to the Health Center leadership team.
