Karla Shetter began work as the Migrant Program Coordinator for Shawnee Health Service on September 2009. The Migrant Health Center is based at Murphysboro Health Center. Ms. Shetter is responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of the farmworker outreach program. She has a Bachelor equivalent degree in Education from the National Major University of San Marcos, Peru, and is proficient in English and Spanish. She is a skilled interpreter and translator.

As the Migrant Outreach Coordinator, Ms. Shetter conducts outreach, health education, and case management services to farmworkers and their families, supervises staff and effectively manages clinic resources, while positively promoting the outreach program through appropriate community outlets. She is also responsible for assessing farmworker needs and evaluating the impact of services.
