Jessica Candela, MPA, joined Migrant Clinicians Network in 2019 as the Project Coordinator for Development and Outreach. She works primarily in California and the West Coast and is passionate about MCN’s work to be a force for health justice.

Candela’s educational and professional background centers on advocacy, health, program development, and public policy. Some of her previous work includes: advising undergraduate criminal justice students, coordinating recreational day camps for youth, developing county-wide projects serving foster and homeless students, and implementing a higher education voter registration & education program.

Candela holds a Master of Public Administration: Health Administration degree with Distinction from California State University, Chico. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from CSU, Chico in Political Science and Multicultural/Gender Studies with a minor in Sociology.

In her spare time, Candela enjoys frequenting coffee shops, dance fitness classes, farmers’ markets, and parks. She is grateful to call Northern California home.
