Engaging Migrant Men in the Prevention of Sexual and Intimate Partner Violence
Migrant Clinicians Network is excited to announce the availability of Engaging Migrant Men Videos and Fotonovelas. With the support of the U.S. Justice Department’s Office on Violence Against Women, MCN has created resources designed by Latino migrant men for other Latino migrant men to engage them as allies with women in the prevention of sexual and intimate partner violence.
Managing Ambulatory Health Care Course
The Managing Ambulatory Health Care course is an exciting collaboration between the Migrant Clinicians Network and the National Association of Community Health Centers. Over one thousand clinicians have completed this continually updated program, consistently rating it excellent for its practicality in the clinical setting, sensitivity to the needs of community health center physicians, and timeliness. MCN will be augmenting the established content with our expertise in Global and Migration Health.

Illinois Primary Health Care Association’s (IPHCA) Awards of Excellence were awarded to various recipients at the October 4, 2013 closing luncheon of the Illinois Primary Health Care Association’s Annual Leadership Conference, held at The Abbey Resort in Fontana, Wisconsin.

The CDC is partnering with the Smithsonian Institution to bring an important exhibit about the Race and Place related to Health Care as a Human Right. The exhibit begins on September 28th, 2013 at the museum in Atlanta.
