Throughout the years, many of MCN's employees have been recognized for their work in health justice, migrants' rights and related fields. Our exceptional team has demonstrated expertise, thought leadership, and commitment to our mission.

2024

MCN's CEO Kim Nolte was included in the TIME100 Most Influential People in Health! This amazing honor recognizes Health Network and the lifesaving mission to connect asylum seekers and migrants with needed care and Kim's role in leading MCN!

Kim was also an honoree in The New Era of Leadership 2024 Award, an inaugural award recognizing executive women and companies shaping the future of business.

2023

MCN’s Ashley-Michelle Papon was selected for the Intercultural Community Leadership Award of 2023, hosted by Multicultural Community Collaboration Committee of California State University - Chico.

MCN was recognized as a finalist in the American Climate Leadership Award, hosted by EcoAmerica.

MCN’s Ashley-Michelle Papon was selected as an Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) 2023 Fellow for the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

MCN continued to receive designation as a Top-Rated Nonprofit from Great Nonprofits and a Platinum transparency rating from Guidestar.

MCN's Marysel Pagán-Santana received the Mary Fran Myers Scholarship from Natural Hazards Center for her contributions to reducing disaster vulnerability.

MCN’s Roxana Pineda, MPH, was recognized in her hometown of Austin with November 3, 2022 designated as Roxana Pineda Day.

MCN’s Roxana Pineda, MPH, was honored by the Mexican government for her outstanding work in health during the pandemic for the benefit of the Mexican migrant community in the US, in February 2022.

2021

MCN’s Marysel Pagán Santana received the 2021 Lorin Kerr Award from the American Public Health Administration’s Occupational Safety and Health section.

MCN received two Fall 2021 Digital Health Award in the blog category - one for our COVID-19 FAQ and one for Helping Patients Stay Safe in an Age of Misinformation.

MCN continued to receive designation as a Top-Rated Nonprofit from Great Nonprofits and a Platinum transparency rating from Guidestar.

2020

MCN's Kaethe Weingarten was one of the authors on JMFT’s 2020 “Article of the Year,” Standing and Responding in Solidarity with Disenfranchised Immigrant Families in the United States: An Ongoing Call for Action.

2016

Migrant Clinicians Network Wins Premier Cares Award and $100,000 for its Health Network.

2015

MCN received the Research Collaboration Award from National Safety Council along with The National Farm Medicine Center and four partner organizations.

2012

Amy Liebman was one of several authors to receive a Research Paper Award from the International Society for Agricultural Research Safety and Health, along with Barbara C. Lee PhD, Susan S. Gallagher MPH, Mary E. Miller RN, and Barbara Marlenga PhD.

2011

MCN's Amy Liebman was one of the award winners for the American Public Health Association's (APHA) achievement in occupational health and safety section.

Amy Liebman received the Lorin Kerr Award, an APHA/Occupational Health and Safety Section honor recognizing public health professionals for their dedication and sustained efforts to improve the lives of workers.

2008

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Children’s Health Protection recognized MCN as one of its winners for the 2008 Children’s Environmental Health Champion Award for outstanding commitment to protecting children from environmental health risks.
