This NPR report, Food Insecurity Among Hispanic Families Surged During Pandemic, Report Finds, provides updates on the increased stress on resources the pandemic has caused for Hispanic families, including immigrant families. The report explains the pandemic has only added to the continual food insecurity many vulnerable populations suffer with which result from factors in the U.S. that cause unequal access to resources.

Weekly Win: For our weekly win we want to congratulate the Director of MCN’s Witness to Witness Program, Kaethe Weingarten, Ph.D., for her and her colleague's article being selected as the 2020 Article of the Year by the Journal of Marital and Family Therapy. Their article, Standing and Responding in Solidarity with Disenfranchised Immigrant Families in the United States: An Ongoing Call for Action, is intended to be a call to action for mental health professionals to address the various environments immigrants have been facing within the U.S.

Have a safe and healthy weekend!
