Weekly Win: The Inflation Reduction Act is a massive win for the climate! While the new law isn't perfect, it provides a significant injection of funds into many solutions to the climate crisis that we urgently need, and brings the US closer to its international obligations on emissions reductions. If fully enacted, it will contribute to a slowdown in the speed of the crisis. Those who are hit hardest by the results of climate change -- like low-income and historically marginalized migrants and immigrants – will get the most relief and health benefits if the worst is averted, so this new law is worthy of celebration.
