CHWs play an important role in promoting health for immigrants and other vulnerable populations. Many issues may affect the health and safety of these populations. MCN’s CHW series examines issues around barriers to health and safety, rights of workers, exposures to chemicals and heat, as well as overviews of the clinical conditions prevalent in health centers funded by HRSA including how health outcomes are evaluated and the value of care provided within the health center.

Our newest series includes information on five important clinical indicators: 1) Diabetes, 2) Prenatal Control, 3) Oral Health, 4) Hypertension, and 5) Mental health for health centers financed by HRSA.

Through case studies and discussion we will highlight how CHWs can make a difference in the health and Safety of immigrants and other vulnerable populations.
