*Note: Neither the statute nor regular case law discusses whether undocumented aliens are entitled to benefits. However, there was a case brought to the Labor and Industry Review Commission that resulted in an award of workers' compensation benefits to an undocumented worker. Rea v. Kenosha Beef Int'l, 1999 WL 370027, 4-5 (Wis. Lab. Ind. & Rev. Comm'n May 5, 1999).
Benefits Available for Undocumented Workers
Undocumented workers are eligible for compensation for medical expenses, as well as temporary total and permanent partial disability benefits. Rea v. Kenosha Beef Int'l, 1999 WL 370027, 4-5 (Wis. Lab. Ind. & Rev. Comm'n May 5, 1999) (affirming an award of income benefits to undocumented worker).
