Five on Friday: Reclaiming Puerto Rico's Agricultural History


Climate collapse, the border crisis, physician burnout: these are just a few of the topics we cover in our weekly Five on Friday piece. But there’s a growing undercurrent of community, statewide, national, and international actions that chip away at these massive concerns that have assumed seemingly intractable dimensions in recent years. Candace shared a new JAMA article, “Association of Perceived Immigration Policy Vulnerability With Mental and Physical Health Among US-Born Latino Adolescents in California.” The researchers found that “reported anxiety statistically significantly increased after the 2016 presidential election, particularly among young people in the most vulnerable families.”
