You’re Invited: Join MCN to talk about this moment in migrant health justice!

Migrants are struggling. Clinicians are struggling. But we’re rising up together.

Recently, we shared an update about a significant shift in federal funding priorities. After decades of support from the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA), MCN will no longer receive federal funding for farmworker-focused training, technical assistance, and clinical resources—the very work that has been at the heart of our mission for more than 40 years.

These changes affect far more than MCN. They affect migrants and immigrants facing growing barriers to care, clinicians and health centers working under increasing pressure, and the training, resources, and support systems that help make care possible.

That’s why we’re inviting you to join Rising Up Together, a community conversation about what this moment means for migrant health, how it’s affecting the field, and how we can move forward together to advance migrant health justice, even in these tough times.

This conversation will be held primarily in English with simultaneous translation into Spanish. Participants may ask questions in Spanish or English.

We’ll begin with a conversation with MCN leadership, including our newly appointed Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Eva Galvez, followed by time for discussion and questions.

Together, we’ll explore:

• What recent policy and funding changes mean for migrants and immigrants
• What clinicians, health centers, and community organizations are experiencing
• What these changes mean for the training, technical assistance, and resources many providers rely on
• How MCN is responding
• What it will take for our community to rise together to meet emerging needs
