NACHC’s new FAQ runs down a number of additional resources not covered here, specifically tailored for health centers. 

These image-centric and engaging resources can help clinicians reach refugee, immigrant, and migrant communities with important information regarding getting vaccinated. The flyers are available in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole, and both pre-made and editable versions are available. Users can insert their organization logo as well as state-specific information such as their state vaccine sign-up website and vaccine customer service phone number. Along with these fliers, MCN has created a simple ‘how-to’ video (see above) for editing the fliers.

The original designs for this resource were created by a staff member of East Coast Migrant Head Start Project who is the daughter of a farmworker, and who had once gone to East Coast Migrant Head Start Project centers herself. The flyers were adapted by MCN.

California's Medical Supervision Program is a biomonitoring program that measures cholinesterase activity in bloog samples from agricultural workers. Employers are required by law to contract with physicians who have registered for this program, all of whom are included in this list.

These Spanish and English hypertension patient education resources were developed by the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and the School of Public Health, Ele Paso Regional Campus. The artwork was done by Salvador Saenz, a well-known and respected public health educator and artist based in El Paso, TX. 

Community health workers, educators and individuals from around the world use Where There Is No Dentist to help people care for their teeth and gums. This book's broad focus makes it an invaluable resource.

The author uses straightforward language and careful instructions to explain how to: examine patients; diagnose common dental problems; make and use dental equipment; use local anesthetics; place fillings; and remove teeth. There is also a special chapter on oral health and HIV/AIDS, which provides the dental worker with a detailed, well-illustrated discussion of the special problems faced by people living with HIV/AIDS, and appropriate treatment.

Published by HRSA's MCHB in September 2011, the chartbook is based on data from the 2007 National Survey of Children's Health (NSCH). This is the second round of the survey; however, some questions were revised since the 2003 survey, and not all findings are comparable to those from the 2003 survey.

Indicators report on the health and well-being of children in rural areas, presenting information on the health status and risk and protective factors experienced by children on a National level.

 OVERVIEW OF NATIONAL BOARDThe mission of the National Board is to foster improved healthcare outcomes, patient safety and patient/provider communication, by elevating the standards for and quality of medical interpreting through a nationally recognized and accredited certification for medical interpreters.The CMI certification program is governed by the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (National Board), an independent division of the International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA). The purposes of the National Board are to:·         Develop, organize, oversee and promote a national medical interpreter certification program in all languages.·         Promote patients and providers working with credentialed medical interpreters who have met minimal national standards to provide accurate and safe interpretation.·         Ensure credibility of national certification by striving to comply with national accreditation standards including transparency, inclusion, and access. The Board of Directors of the National Board consists of 12 voting members that include medical interpreters, a health care provider, industry representatives, and a public member. Initial Board members were selected by a public process and independent selection committee. Subsequently, Board members are recruited through a Nominating Committee process and are elected by the members of the National Board. To see the National Board click here.
